Heat transport through a two-level system under continuous quantum measurement

چکیده

We study the backaction of quantum measurements on heat transport through a two-level system by considering continuous measurement onto an eigenstate system. For nonselective measurement, appears as dephasing effect formulate current under selective with stochastic master equation and show that cross-correlation between outcomes contains information backaction. expect our findings can be verified using platform superconducting circuits.

On the measurement problem for a two-level quantum system

A geometric approach to quantum mechanics with unitary evolution and nonunitary collapse processes is developed. In this approach the Schrödinger evolution of a quantum system is a geodesic motion on the space of states of the system furnished with an appropriate Riemannian metric. The measuring device is modeled by a perturbation of the metric. The process of measurement is identified with a g...

Effect of asymmetric quantum dot rings in electron transport through a quantum wire

The electronic conductance at zero temperature through a quantum wire with side-connected asymmetric quantum ring (as a scatter system) is theoretically studied using the non-interacting Hamiltonian Anderson tunneling method. In this paper we concentrate on the configuration of the quantum dot rings. We show that the asymmetric structure of QD-scatter system strongly influences the amplitude an...

Testing a Quantum Heat Pump with a Two-Level Spin

Once in its non-equilibrium steady state, a nanoscale system coupled to several heat baths may be thought of as a “quantum heat pump”. Depending on the direction of its stationary heat flows, it may function as, e.g., a refrigerator or a heat transformer. These continuous heat devices can be arbitrarily complex multipartite systems, and yet, their working principle is always the same: they are ...

Quantum Theory of Electron Transport through Single-level Quantum Dot

Abstract. A new approach in the quantum theory of few-electron nanoelectronic devices – the S-matrix approach – is presented in a simple example: a single-electron transistor consisting of a single-level quantum dot connected with two metallic leads through the corresponding potential barriers. The electron transport through the quantum dot due to the electron tunneling between the dot and the ...
